Wahkeena Falls
Wahkeena Falls (the Yakama name translates as "most beautiful") is a day-use picnic area with many picnic tables and barbecue grills, 2 restroom facilities with flush toilets, potable water, a large picnic shelter with a stone fireplace and a trailhead for the Wahkeena Trail #420 and the Gorge #400 Trail.
Wahkeena Falls Picnic Area is situated at the base of beautiful Wahkeena Falls along the Historic Columbia River Highway. The area features beautiful stone work, many day hike loop opportunities, fishing at nearby Benson Lake and of course an eye full of scenery. Wahkeena Falls is one of many stops along the famed waterfall area on the Historic Highway.

From I-84 eastbound, take exit #28, Bridal Veil and travel 2 1/2 miles east on the Historic Highway. From I-84 westbound, take exit #35, Ainsworth and travel 4 1/2 miles west on the Historic Highway.
