Located at the confluence of the John Day and Columbia Rivers, the park is owned and operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.  Popular activities include fishing, swimming, and other water sports and a boat ramp is located at the campground for convenient river access.  The campground offers 22 sites with electric hookups and 20 primitive walk-to tent sites.  Amenities include restrooms, showers, drinking water, walking trails, and a dump station.  Reservations are available and strongly recommended.  Wildlife is abundant in the area and mule deer, waterfowl and raptors are commonly seen.
